Our desire is to be a ministry of compassion, sharing spiritually and physically God's love.

If you or a family member of HCC are ill, hospitalized, have a death in the family, have a physical or spiritual crisis, or just need a caring ear to confide in, give Glen & Donna Rosborough a call at 618/562-0278 or 618/421-2798.  They will be glad to pray with you and encourage you, and offer aid or direct you to someone who can.  You can also email them at dgrosborough@mchsi.com.

Volunteer Areas: Would you consider helping spread the love of Christ to our church family?  The pastoral care ministry team and ministers invite you to join in this work.

We are taught to love and care for each other (Gal 6:9-10).  To be more faithful to the scriptures and to God, it is our desire to reach out and support all those of our church family who are in need through prayer, cards, phone calls and visitation.  We concentrate on those in the hospital, nursing homes and those confined to home.  We also respond to those who miss worship and to those who are grieving the death of a loved one.

In order to fulfill this responsibility, we need others to join us.  We will provide training as well as guidance, encouragement, support and prayer.  What part of this ministry will you do? 

• send encouragement cards and letters to shut-ins and those in the nursing homes.
• send cards to those who are ill or who have a death in their family.
• visit those associated with the church who are shut-in or a care facility.
• visit members and those associated with HCC who are hospitalized.
• make phone calls or send cards to those active members and non-members who are "MIA" from our worship services.
• volunteer to pray for and encourage those who are down.
• anything else you can think of to uplift and encourage the Body of Christ at HCC.
